The room felt dense with anticipation, and the air was thick with unspoken secrets. Dim light flickered against the walls, casting long shadows that danced in rhythm with the palpable tension. My gaze darted between Hannah and Leon, searching for any telltale signs of deception.
My heart was pounding in my chest. The weight of her words hung in the air, an ominous revelation that clung to the shadows.
"Why are you telling me this? How do you even know about my son?" I demanded, my voice echoing through the room.
