“I do not regret anything I did, but tell my son I am sorry that we never got to meet.” That was the first time Augustus would communicate with me through the mind link, and I felt somehow sorry for him, even if he never got punished for what he did to my parents.
I hate that he had to die for something so silly, and I was not even in the position to stop him. A tear dropped from my eye as I watched Leon and Hannah look on with so much seriousness in their faces, as if they really had been victims.
“I want to leave now,” I said, standing up.
