The sound of Nate’s voice from behind made us all stiffen, coupled with the effect of what he said.

Even if he forgot about me, why the hell would it be Hannah that he remembers of all people?

“What did you just say?”

“You heard me.”

“I did, I just wanted to be sure you knew exactly what you were talking about.”

“Who are you to question me?”

“Who are you to bring Hannah back into the pack?”

We both looked at each other angrily, and then he began to slowly move towards me.

He suddenly grabbed my right hand and began to drag me in the direction he came from.

“Let go of me! What do you think you are doing?”

“I should be asking what you think you were doing, especially when men seem to want to protect you for whatever reason there is.”

“Well, maybe that should be enough reason for you to try to remember what exactly you have been made to forget that should be important to you.”
