Layla’s POV

“What kind of trick are you trying to pull?”

“There is no way my uncle can be alive, I saw him die with my own eyes.”

“That was the same thing I said when I saw him. Apparently, he had found a way to cheat death.”

“No, that is unbelievable!”

“I saw him.”

Nate said again and I was starting to think perhaps his memory loss was making him see things. I looked at Andrew but the look on his face confirmed all he had said and when I looked at Nicholas, it was the same.

“Did he lose his memory again?”

“If he lost his, what about ours?”

I gripped my chest as I thought of the possibility that Augustus was alive. We were grateful that there was no one pulling Leon’s reins anymore or at least that it wasn’t Augustus but if he is back now, no doubt, he will no longer be on Leon’s side.
