Nate's POV
The dense woods seemed to swallow me whole as I ventured deeper into their depths. Each step I took was muffled by the thick carpet of fallen leaves, and the only sounds that echoed through the trees were the rustling of branches and the occasional chirp of a distant bird. It was an eerie sensation, being surrounded by such solitude, yet I pressed on, driven by a sense of urgency that gnawed at my insides.
I needed to put an end to this as soon as possible.
