Layla’s POV

I stuck my sword forward as I trained furiously. There was too much on my mind and the pressure was weighing down on me.

I caught sight of Scott who had arrived at the pack not too long ago. He seemed to be sneaking off somewhere and I wondered where he was going. I saw him look around carefully as he headed out. I followed because I was curious.

Why did he look like he was in a hurry? Did something happen back in the pack? Does Nate even know that he was leaving and why isn’t he taking the car?

He got out of the gate. The men did not bother to stop him since they already knew who he was but the fact that he was sneaking out was what I did not understand or maybe I had read something else into his gestures as he walked towards the dark parts of the wood.
