Chapter 27

Nate's POV

The atmosphere was tense, and I knew why.

 I was talking to her, but she wasn’t responding. I had to check on her and I realized that she had fallen asleep. I smiled as I stared at her face. She looked like a sleepy beauty with her lips pouted. 

I leaned in and kissed her on her lips. I chuckled when she sucked on my lips. I could tell that she was having a daydream about me from the way she kissed me back. 

I tore my lips away from hers, and she pouted her lips again. I smiled and shook my head. She was funny. I laid her carefully on the bed, and after that, I placed soft lips on her forehead and on her lips. I used the duvet to cover her body. But as I was about to leave, she grabbed my hands. I turned around and saw that she was widely awake. I creased my brows. I had thought that she was asleep.

“Can you stay with me? ”She asked softly. I nodded my head.
