Layla's POV

"Okay Alpha. I know that Goddess Selene would help you.”

He nodded. “Yeah. She definitely will,”

After that, the room became quiet. Each of us were lost in our own thoughts. I was actually the only one who was lost in thought. 

He was staring at me but I had no idea what he was thinking. I was wondering how he would cope if he gave James the Alpha seat. 

But at the end, I just shrugged. If that’s what he wants and he is comfortable with it, then I can’t stop him or try to make him change his mind. 

“You will be fine,” I blurted out. I had no idea what I just said. I kept on repeating it. He was overwhelmed with happiness at my words. I was actually thinking about him.

All of a sudden, he leaned in to kiss me. I gasped because I wasn’t expecting it. He tore his lips away from mine as he stared at me with amusement dangling in his eyes. 

“You kissed me,” I said. I sounded like a teenager w
