Layla's POV

What is he talking about? How am I the Alpha of the pack?

We heard the noise from the palace but we did not think it required our presence especially since the king was not our person.

However, it does not look like Nate is joking about what he just said because he was looking at me like he needed me to understand.

“Turns out my dad had given this pack to you till we give birth to our first child. That solves the first problem that we have with Jane's because the contract I have with him is now invalid because the pack is not mine to give to him.”

I nodded slowly. That was easy. No one could have thought of this at all. I had already given up on the thoughts of getting the throne back from Jane’s anytime soon and now it looks like it was in my hands to decide even James’ fate.

“What do I do?”

“Nothing really. The elders are waiting to talk to you.”

I nodded, I was ready and as we both headed out of my room,
