Nate's POV

"I have come to save you, cupcake.”

The look in her eyes confused me. Doesn’t she want to be saved? You can never understand women no matter how much you claim to know them or how deep your connection with them is.

“No.”

“What?”

“Irene is back there. I cannot leave her all alone.”

“I know Irene is there and we will do what we can do to get her back into the park but right now we need to go.”

She looked back as Augustus and his men were surrounded. We have no plans to engage him in a fight.
