Chapter 104
Augustus’s POV
My paws crunched on the fallen leaves as I navigated the moonlit forest. The bitter taste of betrayal lingered in my mouth, and the memories of expulsion were fresh in his mind. I never thought this could happen, but I guess the boy has grown, and it is now time to leave him to be the dummy he is.
"Fuck!" I muttered to myself.
A distant howl echoed through the trees. The haunting sound was a stark reminder of what I had lost. I ran back to my pack. I wanted to arrive without being noticed, and that was why I did not call for a car.
My brother’s voice echoed in my head, as did that of his wife. They haunt me every day of my life, but that has never changed me.
"Bite us once, Augustus, and do you think we'll let you back?" My brother said.
