Layla's POV

The car halted to a stop inside a huge compound and I marveled at the mansion that stood before me.

“Wow! This is a palace!”

Kids do grow really fast. It seemed like it was only yesterday that I saw him last. Tears filled my eyes as I approached Scott, who brought Brian to me. His arms reached toward me. Only the moon goddess knew how he recognized me as his mother when he was only a baby when I left him.

“I’m sorry, Luna. I failed you and almost lost the boy. Please forgive me”

“No, you didn’t. Thank you for bringing my son back to me.” He bowed slightly, and as I raised my head, I saw Nate standing outside the palace, not too far behind Scott, and right beside him was someone who looked exactly like him, just a little height difference.
