Chapter 19
The birds were just commencing to sing, their twittered songs rising slowly and in portions as they warmed their voices. Then a breeze rustled thru the bushes and for a second after it passed, as if the world held its breath, the entirety was silent, and glittering underneath the early morning sun.
Amelia did a sluggish turn, her eyes darting excessive and low, taking in all the rugged beauty of his home, and Gabriel stood next to her feeling as pleased as if he'd made the total thing himself. He'd continually dreamed about bringing her here. He could not have been happier except she'd mated him and born him a babe already.
Then, finally, her progress brought her eyes again to Gabriel. They had been shocked and awed.
So comfortable that she noticed the beauty of his home, he put his fingers on her shoulders and smiled down at her. “Welcome to Thana, Amelia ,” he said, his voice betraying his joy.. “I've waited so lengthy to exhibit you.”
