Mum, we'll be leaving now." Nicolette announced.

Rach, who was dozing off immediately sat up on the couch where she sat. Arayah had fallen asleep already and Naomi was seated on the hand of the long cushion where Arayah lay. She was feeling sleepy, but as soon as Nicolette stood up and announced that they both were leaving, Naomi sat up and wiped her sweaty face with the back of her palm. She sighed deeply and checked on Arayah. When she was done checking up on the little girl, she stood up.

"You both are leaving?" Naomi directed the question at Nicolette. Her voice was coarse and Nicolette was sure that it was from too much stress.

"Yes, we are. We have to be at the Palace before the clock strikes four. The guards will begin to parade as soon as it is five o'clock."
