Chapter 22
Even now she understood, Zillon made it easy to. He hadn’t visited her after the last time he brought her food. He was kind enough to drop them off, but he wouldn’t step foot through her door.
That wasn’t what hurt though, it was the fact that he knew today was her discharge day, the doctor had given him the exact time and even though it was more than an hour passed it, Zillon hadn’t shown up yet.
Celeste pitied herself, even the doctor had started to give her sympathetic looks, but she didn’t want his pity, not when she could make it all by herself.
She didn’t have to wait on Zillon, she could walk and she knew exactly where she lived.
Pushing the hospital door open, she walked down the hall, searching for the familiar exit. She visited this place a lot while growing up. Every time she got hurt, she had to come here to get the wound patched up and it wasn’t any different now.
Sighing, she took a left turn, spotting the door at the edge of the hall. She
