Malachi’s POV

Everything happened in an instant and before I knew what was happening, my fangs were buried in her neck and my wolf howled in excitement at the thought of becoming one with her. I loved her and I didn’t try to stop myself from marking her even though she got upset and tried to tell her uncle and her aunt nothing about me.

Why the heck was she so worried about the fact that I had a mate? Yes, I had a mate but that is my cross to carry and not hers but holding her in my arms now and kissing her, all my anger goes away until she pushes me off, her gaze on something behind me.

I follow her line of sight and I see Mason there, he looked very mad and disgusted to say the least. Well, I can’t blame him. He loves Bryer and wants her to be his sister in law but he keeps forgetting about the fact that I do not love Bryer and I do not want to spend my life with her.
