Book 1: Chapter 28

Enzo’s POV

As soon as Michelle crashes into my embrace, I pull her into my arms and she rests her head against my chest. I hate the fact that she is in so much pain and I can do little or less to help her.

I hate seeing pain in her eyes, I hate seeing her cry but right now even with all the power I have, I am unable to help her.

“Give us a moment, Lawrence” I tell him and he nods before making his way out of the examination room leaving the two of us.

I allow her to cry until I can only hear her whimpers then I slowly disengage from her.

“Do you feel better now?”

“I don’t want to lose my baby, Enzo” Michelle tells me, “I really don’t want to”

“Look here princess” I gently grab a hold of her hand, “you trust me yeah?”

“Hmmm” she nods softly.

“You have a long life ahead of you and you cannot allow such a thing to pull you back. You can have as many babies as you want in the future, let’s get rid of this one and you can…”
