Diana’s POV

When I found out he was a spy and murdered, everything changed but strangely enough, I never truly believed in my heart that everything we’ve been through was a lie.

And with that, he was still someone I could trust.

“I should go now. We still have that grand escape tomorrow,” I yawned and got up.

As I opened the door to the house, Arthur spoke.

“Remember what I said earlier? About me being a villain?”

“What about it?”

“There are some perks to having a villain by your side, ya know.”

I shook my head, “And what could those possibly be?”

“I would sacrifice everything for those I cared about.”

He smiled and stood up, taking the gun with him. Then, he started walking away, scouting the place again.

I couldn’t help but smile. Was that his way of saying he cared about us?
