Dalia’s POV

The room was eerily silent save the sound of the slap that echoed around the room. We both stood in shock, trying to register what just happened. Alexander looked at me like I had grown another head and I equally stared back at him, not knowing what to do at that moment.

He looked flushed and his lips looked swollen and sexy, proof of what just happened between us. We were looking at each other in shock, he was in shock that I could slap him, I was in shock of what I had done.

“Dalia,” his voice broke me out of my frozen state and I moved backwards a lot more, my breathing getting erratic with each passing moment.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” I kept chanting till I left his office. I was confused about what to do and tried to make sense of what actually happened.

I was disturbed and my thoughts were running at a mile per hour. What if he actually fires me now? What if he thought I actually wanted to be with him since we shared a kiss?.<
