Dalia’s POV
All my hopes of coming back to a somehow quiet life in New York was dashed when we were swamped by paparazzi on our arrival at the airport.
Alexander and Damien managed to get us into the car safely and while we made our way back to Alexander’s place, he was on his phone the whole time, barking orders angrily and speaking irately to whoever was on the other end of the phone.
I don’t want to be on the other end of that phone, my subconscious said and I shuddered mentally.
Amber looked lost and I took it upon myself to make sure that she doesn’t get scared by her father’s outburst. We tried to play as much as we could without actually interrupting him.
“I swear, that better be a joke,” he said with so much anger, I flinched slightly in my seat. “I need her removed immediately,” with that, he hung up and threw his phone on the seat.
