Dalia’s POV

I couldn’t believe my eyes and my mouth dropped open in surprise. Amber was facing away from her and had not seen her yet.

I caught her eyes and saw her smirking begging Alexander’s back. I turned my eyes back to Alexander and waited for him to speak but there was just radio silence.

“Alex?” I called softly, hoping he would say something. He cleared his throat and made to speak but couldn’t say anything. Amber made to lift her heads from my shoulder and look at Alex but I didn’t let her.

“Hey, hey, it’s okay. Go to sleep princess,” I told her and pat her back while trying to calm my racing heart.

I was feeling a lot of emotions at once and I knew I had to leave that scene if I didn’t want to break down. I felt fear, anger, disappointment and many more emotions that I couldn’t even decipher.
