Amelie’s POV

I packed up everything I thought I would need for the night at the mansion. It almost felt like I was packing to move. Luckily, Nathan had a bunch of suitcases in the storage room. While in the storage room, I looked through my mom’s jewelry case. I needed something old for the wedding tradition. I found a beautiful ring. I remember my mom wearing it all the time. It had an ice-blue diamond in the middle and white diamonds encircling it. It was just some costume jewelry, I’m sure of it. There is no way my father would have had enough money to buy her the real version. It was perfect, though. It sparkled like crazy. I slipped it on my right hand.

After I was done packing, I texted Tiff to let her know we were ready to leave. She said she would meet us down in the parkade.
