While Nathan was in the washroom, I quickly texted everyone that the plan was a go.

“Who were you texting?” Nathan asked, coming out of the washroom.

“Just texting Zander to let him know we are coming home,” I answered.

Nurse Bethany came in with a wheelchair.

“What’s that for?” Nathan asked, almost seeming offended.

“Sorry, Dr. Michaels,” Bethany uttered. “Hospital policy.”
