Chapter 60. My Angel
Nathan’s POV
We are in the ambulance en route to the hospital. Amelie is still unconscious, but the paramedics said that all her vitals are good. What is taking so damn long? The traffic is ridiculous right now. I swear it’s taking twice as long as usual. I hold Amelie’s hand.
“Everything is going to be all right, angel,” I said, squeezing her hand.
Once we arrive, they wheel her into the emergency room, and doctors are running about, trying to figure out what is going on. I’m left standing out in the emergency waiting room, pacing back and forth. I asked one of the nurses to check whether Grandfather had been discharged from the hospital. They said Monday, potentially for his release.
