I’m really starting to dread these acquisition business trips. Samuel and I received a tip on Tuesday night that an investment group was seeking a merger or buyout in San Francisco. Gaining a financial company in California would be a significant addition to our move out West. The only problem is that we need to fly out on Wednesday morning. Here we are, on a plane headed to San Francisco, while Amelie is at home studying for her exams. I gave the front desk and Trudy strict instructions that only Grandfather and Tiff are allowed in the penthouse. God knows the lengths Madison would go to get to Amelie.
