Chapter 70. Operation Zander

Amelie’s POV

Nathan and I said goodbye to Dante and Dutton, then took the elevator to the lobby.

“We need to stop at a cake shop on the way to the hospital,” I advised. “I promised Zander a chocolate cake for his birthday.”

Nathan smiled and grabbed my hand as we walked across the lobby. Marcus was waiting outside for us.

“Good morning, Ms. Amelie,” Marcus greeted me and opened the door to the limo.

“Good morning, Marcus,” I replied. I slid into the car, and Nathan followed me after speaking with Marcus.

There were two large boxes and a bag on the floor in the back of the limo. One box was wrapped in beautiful wrapping paper, and the other was in a white box with a blue ribbon.

“Two presents?” I looked startled at Nathan
