Chapter 80. Asking for Help Means You’re Strong, Not Weak

Nathan’s POV

We picked up Zander from Grandfather’s in the late afternoon. He could kind of tell something was wrong with Amelie, but Amelie wasn’t ready to share the details with him. I wasn’t going to say anything because I didn’t want to break her trust. Plus, it wasn’t my story to tell.

Grandfather cornered me in the kitchen. “Nathan, what’s wrong with Amelie? She looked so happy last night.”

“She remembered what happened with Madison on the stairs,” I advised. “Also, there was a situation at the party she went to,” I explained.

“I will make sure he rots in jail, Nathaniel,” Grandfather said with disgust.

“I already promised to make his life a living hell,” I stated.

“Well, now he’ll need to watch out for two Michaels men,” Grandfather declared.
