Mabel POV

My face colored.

I hated how dirty thoughts played in my head as I stepped into one of the night dresses with a plunging neckline. I walked to the mirror and gasped.

My n*pples perked beneath the lace—already taut with afterthoughts.

I could imagine Alec seeing them, reaching forward with his large hands and cupping them, taking them into his mouth.

A liquid heat spread through me.

I couldn't let that happen on our first night after many days. Maybe I should simply text him that I couldn't make it— then climb into bed and go to sleep.

Or perhaps I should go downstairs. Enjoy the movie and don't give him a clue that my kitty was exposed.
