“How was it between us?” He found himself asking. It was a stupid question, which he wasn’t even sure why he was asking. There was no point in knowing how their lovemaking was, but he needed to know. The feeling he got when that image came into his mind was pleasing. He needed to know that it was actually that good.
Regina scoffed before replying, “We hated each other at first. I thought you were the devil himself.” She clearly didn’t interpret his question well. She thought he was still asking about how they first met each other.
“Really?” He queried.
“Yes, you must not remember, but I used to be a maid. My mother, Sylvia, used to take Sandra and me to her workplace. We used to be so poor that we could barely afford my education. I had just dropped out of school and was helping Mom out at the Sanders Vacation Homes in Greece when we met,” she said with a look that suggested that she was thinking back on those times.
“You were a maid?” Giannis asked in disbel
