Chapter 54. Family Time
SASHA’S POV
“Can I go see Dad?” Noah asked. I knew he wasn’t really asking — he’d guilt-trip me if I said no, whining that I’d kept the secret for too long.
“No more than an hour,” I said, defeated. “Vincent has work.”
Ever since Vincent got out of the hospital, Noah’s been sleeping over and playing at his dad’s apartment almost every day. I’m starting to feel ditched.
But instead of getting jealous, I’m trying to think and act positive. I have more time to take care of Leo now. Plus, I’ve got extra time to research the medical program at Ellwood University. I’m seriously considering it again.
Honestly, that annoying doctor who treated Vincent got on my nerves. But he reminded me of my childhood dream of becoming a doctor — a dream I buried because I felt like a failure for not studying hard enough. A dream Dad told me I should chase.
