Elysia's POV
It had been three days since I was discharged from the hospital, and the tension in the air was palpable. Damon seemed more on edge than ever, receiving threatening messages and calls. I couldn't bear to see him in such distress, so I made a difficult decision: I would seek a loan from my father's company to help alleviate our financial burden.
With a determined resolve, I arrived at my parents' house, hoping my father would understand the gravity of our situation. As I entered his study, I found him immersed in his work, surrounded by stacks of papers and a stern expression on his face.
