Chapter 25
Damon's POV
"I'm sorry for your loss."
"Sorry for your loss, Mr. Contreras."
I felt as cold as ice, standing by the graveyard, my eyes reading through the inscription on the tomb. My daughter was dead, she was gone forever.
I could still hear the sound of her laughter, ringing in my ears like a lost melody. The pain in my heart was excruciating, yet I held the tears in my eyes for Ian's sake.
I was trying to be strong, buy as minutes passed by I was breaking inside. I could feel the clutching of my heart and every breath was heavy.
I took a glance at Ian and suddenly I felt an excruciating pain in my heart. As though a sword was piercing through.
Ian stood beside me, tears like cascade dripping from his eyes. His whining crushing me further, I couldn't bare to watch him.
I bent on my knees pulling him into my arms. He could barely look away from the grave.
"It's okay Ian." I said to him staring deep
