Chapter 19. Sweet Taste of Victory

Alexander’s POV

As I leaned forward on my chair, going through the papers and documents that were in front of me. My mind was preoccupied with thoughts of my company, just then, a knock was heard on my door.

“Come in,” my voice rang out without me sparing a gaze to whoever it was.

Almost immediately, the door swung open. “President,” my assistant’s voice rang out, he seemed excited and I was forced to bring up my head and look at him. He had a hint of a smile on his face as he stride towards me.

“President Alexander!” His voice rang out again as he approached me. “I have some news, trust me, it is worth it,” he said, his voice low and excited.

“Okay,” I replied with a slight nod as I pursued my lips, waiting for him to speak up.

He took a deep breath, his eyes twinkling with excitement. After some seconds, he finally spoke. “Leo has lost the land, the letter just got to us this morning “

I shrugged nonchalantly as I took a sip out of
