Chapter 56. Distraction
Sarah was sitting on a sofa, watching Archie, measured by the tailoring staff.
Her head was filled with the images of Matthew. Was he happy without her? Did he suffer from being forced to do what his mother wanted him to do?
She took a deep breath for the umpteenth time, and her chest felt very tight as if a heavyweight was propped there. Again, tears welled up in her eyes, and she hurriedly took a tissue from her bag and wiped it dry.
"I'm done. Do you want to stop by for a drink? You look so depressed," Archie muttered as he put his bomber back on.
"I don't drink alcohol anymore," Sarah said, rising to her feet.
Archie looked a little surprised, "Cool! Are you living a healthy life or what?"
Sarah snorted, laughing, "I donated my liver some time ago, so I have to take care of my body more than other people in a normal condition," she said lightly.
