Orion had never been a patient man. He had always believed that patience was only for the weak - schemers and cowards - werewolves who had no choice but to bend their knees to the world.
Orion had never been one of those men, yet, here he was. Days later, and still waiting for a call from his own daughter. For the past few days, he had been shackled by his restraint while grinding his teeth raw as the days stretched far too long.
After he had stomped out of the throne room and sent his lieutenants out to meet the council, he had expected Aria’s summons in the next couple of hours. He might not have known his daughter since she was a child, but he could recall that she was always pliant. He was sure that if he pressed hard, she would have no choice but to call for him.
