Chapter 163. I Thought I Lost You
Sydney’s loud scream echoed across the vast chamber of the throne room. Her screams were a desperate mix of anguish, disbelief and pain.
Even right now, as she lay on the marble floor of the throne room, she could not believe that she had been caught.
Above her, Lucien stood with a narrowed gaze filled with fury, his body radiated the quiet, pulsating calm that came just before a storm. His fury was simmering so close to his aura, that even the guards standing outside the throne room had to shift their positions until they were far away to not be affected.
