The next day, I decided to go on a field trip because it had been a while since I did something adventurous.

“Are you ready for your field trip, Joan?” The cab driver asked with a huge smile drawn on his face.

“Of course!” I smiled back too.

I got on the passenger’s seat and fastened the seatbelt around me.

“Where to?” The driver asked.

“To the amusement park!”

“Amusement park it is.” He smiled again. “It’s been a long time since I drove someone to an amusement park.”

“Really?” I asked as I fixed my hair.

“Yup. And most of the people who asked for me to take them there are couples or groups of friends. They don’t hire a private cab like you do.” He looked at me through the mirror.

“Well, I can’t just go to the amusement park alone.” I looked down.

“It’s not that bad. Going alone can actually be fun too. I did that once when I was in high school. And to tell you the truth, I really enjoyed it.” The driver smiled at me throug
