Chapter 66

Allister got to the place where Martha had ceased walking on the floor; he couldn't trace her again because he couldn't find any more footprints. He smiled and started looking up to see if he would see someone hiding in the trees.

He stood for some time and decided to shoot his gun straight through the trees. He fired a shot, and Martha shouted. Ahead of him, he heard Martha's voice, and he began to race towards her. Dave and George had heard the gunshot and Martha's voice, and the two all raced towards the direction of the voice. Martha, knowing she had messed up by shouting, had to race in order not to get caught by Allister.
