Chapter 28. Asking for Forgiveness

Serena slowly stood up from the sofa the moment Beta Adam came in with Emily.

She doesn’t really know how she felt about the maid but anger sparked in her and she wanted to hit Emily for what she had done to her last night.

Emily pinned her eyes to the floor as she stood behind King Zed.

"So tell me, why did you do that?" King Zed turned to Emily but she remained quiet, unable to respond to him.

"Answer me, you know I won’t ask a second time." King Zed grunted in anger and she shook at the sound of his loud voice.

"I was lonely, I needed someone. And I like her so I picked her." Emi answered fearfully, not sparing Serena a glance.

"You are lonely? Why are you lonely?" King Zed questioned moving closer to her.

"It’s because I don’t have anyone. I stay here every day without knowing a thing about the outside world." Emi said, despite the fear in her voice, she was rather pissed too.

"
