Chapter 33. Their Plans

Martins kept staring at Serena until Serena shifted her gaze towards his direction and caught him staring.

"Martins, are you okay?" Serena asked, standing up from the stool.

"Uh… yes, I’m fine," he whispered, moving his gaze elsewhere.

"Um, I’m sorry about your dad. I don’t think you should overthink. You might fall sick while worrying too much," Serena cooed, standing in front of him.

Martins let out a one-sided smile. “Yes, ma’am. I’ll only listen to you from now on," he beamed.

Serena blushed, shifting her gaze away from him. "Let’s leave, but before that, do you want something? Anything?" Martins inquired.

"No, I don’t. Let’s go," Serena said, smiling.

"Okay, but the next time we come here. I’m cooking something with my own hands for you. Got that?"

Serena chuckled.

"Yes, sir," she bobbed her head once. They came out from the kitchen and to the sitting
