Some minutes later, Jack came out in a white shirt and black jeans trouser then glanced at the sun which was about to come out, through the large window.
“Let’s go,” he turned to the girl with a small smile and she slowly nodded then stood up and walked behind him.
“Oh, I was wondering where you are dear… So you’re together.” A middle-aged woman suddenly appeared in front of them when they walked out of the door and Jack chuckled.
“Mum,” he greeted then pecked her cheeks while the woman held Freya’s hands.
“Where are you two off to?” The woman asked while looking between them with a wide smile.
“The garden Auntie,” Freya replied and also pecked her cheeks.” Are you feeling better now?” She added softly and the woman nodded.
“Yes, dear. Now go, go, I don’t want to waste your time… I also have to see some guests,” she said hurriedly and walked away.
Jack’s gaze lingered on his mother’s back and he sighed inside.
