Chapter 70. Did You Meet?

Lucy made an oh sound and dropped her head after staring at the ring. And she played with the dress.

“I don’t want to wear it anymore.” She shook her head, and there was a hint of fear in her voice. “I-I don’t even know what to do with it.”

“Then I’ll gladly help you do away with it.” Greg smiled at her. She wasn’t sad about him taking the ring off after all.

“No.” She lifted her head and her eyes widened at his words. “It’s so expensive. You can’t just throw it away.”

Then she did what he least expected. She scampered forward and snatched the ring from the bedside table.

Now, Greg was irritated. But he knew better to keep his anger in check this time. How could she have this much power over his moods?

“I-I have to keep it. It doesn’t belong to me.”

Her words again brought a smile to his lips. And Greg deemed it unfair that he had to go through these all at once. Anger, happiness, and the circle repeating itself.
