Chapter 69. Didn’t Look Good

A soft laugh left Greg’s lips. He couldn’t believe he was having the idea of asking the celebrity for help in order to make her speak.

They were best friends. She would surely tell her whatever was bordering her.

Well—he wouldn’t do that. For one thing, he wouldn’t like the celebrity near them anytime soon. All she did was warm him to backoff her friend. She might use any chance she got to take Lucy away from him.

He would just make her speak up herself. Hopefully, he wouldn’t need to ask for long before getting her to talk.

He headed straight to the guest room after pushing the door shut with his legs and locking it. He was met with an empty room.

The sound of rushing water came from the bathroom and he waited patiently. It was almost midnight when he glanced at his wristwatch. She might want to go straight to the bed after emerging from the bathroom but he needed to make her talk tonight.
