Chapter 18. Asthma Attack

Zora’s mother was disinterested in the conversation, knowing that her husband could handle it. There was no need to feel guilty since Ezrah never treated their daughter like a wife. Now that she had her freedom and peace of mind, they would never allow Ezrah to ruin it for her.

Zora’s father stared at Ezrah, an expression of shock and admiration on his face as he asked with interest, “You have proof that she isn’t dead? I’m also interested. After all, she is my daughter. Where is she? Give me her location, and let’s go find her.”

If Ezrah said he had proof, the middle-aged man had no doubt it was so. Therefore, this was the best solution to come up with, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with Ezrah.

Ezrah was having a headache as this was not the reaction he expected. “Stop pretending. Zora faked her death, and I believe you know something about it,” he accused, but the light in the middle-aged man’s eyes refused to dim as he stared at Ezrah with expectancy.
