Chapter 57. A Love So Far Away

Audrey drifted away into the coldness of the street, she wasn't familiar with the environment, yet she ambled around the street hoping that the warm air and buzzing street would stop the ache she felt, but it didn't, Carter was so close to her, yet he seems so far away. Distracted from her thoughts, she bumped into a figure on the street, she apologized and continued walking. “ Audrey! ” The figure called, and it was right then she turned around to behold Oliver staring blankly at her. “ Oliver! What are you doing here?, I thought you left? ”.

“ Because you lied to me doesn't mean I shouldn't cheer you to the end ”.

“ Can we talk ”? Her voice was calm, although she knew that there were so many emotions playing in her head right now. “ Sure! We can eat while we talk, there is a street vendor down there that sells the best spicy fish balls ”. Oliver explained and walked ahead while she followed. “You seem to be familiar with the street, have you been here before? ”.
