Chapter 11. A Problem
She waited on the cold metal clinic chair holding the small white card that Dr. Chupra had given her. For lack of anything better to do, she flipped it around and saw the hospital’s logo on the back with their contact number in small print.
The card was not much bigger than a business card but it was the only way she could prove that she was the owner of a new pair of glasses.
Her eyes rose to the receptionist that stood behind the counter with a bright smile on his face as she directed an old man and a young child down the hall. The white tiles on the floor had baby blue swirls but the wall was a creamy color. Halfway down the hall to her right, a small brown signage hung with the words ‘waiting room’ written in white letters.
