Chapter 26. Emotions

Seeing Brooks pass by without stopping, Mr. Santiago runs after him while calling out to him. ‘He really is a busy man, he obviously didn’t see me’ he thinks as he increases his pace. "Mr. Miller," he calls out yet again.

"Oh, you’re so funny, sweetheart. I’m going to…"

Hearing someone call out to him this time, Brooks Miller turns around, his gaze dropping to Mr. Santiago. Instantly, his smile fades and is replaced with a deep frown.

‘What is this old bastard doing here? How did he know I’m coming to Virginia today?’ He thinks, his frown deepening.

"Ah, Mr. Santiago. What brings you here?" He asks politely and stretches his hand for a handshake.
