Chapter 16

"I'm still having second thoughts about Mandy teaching Kyle his abilities.We should have been there." Felicia paced about the living room restlessly.

Gabi sighed and looked away from the book he was reading, to his wife.

"And I still think you're worrying over nothing." He said. "Our presence there could be a hindrance and it would not make the young man concentrate."

"Yeah..but still..." Felicia paused in her strides. 

"I still don't feel comfortable." She groaned aloud and resumed her to and fro pacing about.

Gabi almost felt dizzy as his eyes followed his wife's movement and he quickly stood up and grabbed her around the waist.

"Gabi!" She yelped in surprise. "What..."

With his wife still in his grip, he pulled her towards the sofa and sat down with her in his lap.

"There." He said smoothly, leaning his chin against the crook of her neck. "Now don't you feel better?"

"No. Not one bit." Felicia frowned, though goosebumps began t
