Chapter 22

It was a silent drive along the road. Jeremy watched from the back seat as Gerard's hands clenched the steering wheel at intervals. His expression shifted from upset to disturbed every now and then. Jeremy switched his gaze to the right where Richard sat. The doctor just had a blank expression on his face.

Jeremy then turned his gaze back to his history teacher. The disturbed gaze was back on his face and then Jeremy remembered something. He had seen that look before. That look was there that night when Gerard had alerted Alpha Ronald about the vampires he encountered. There was something up.

"Mr White?" Jeremy called out. 

"Yes,Jeremy." He saw Gerard gaze at him through the upper mirror.

"Can I ask you a question?" 

"As much as I like your enthusiasm, Master Griffin, I'm afraid we're not in history class." 

Jeremy caught the amused glint in his eyes and frowned.

"It's not that." He shook his head. "It's something personal."
