Chapter 17

Sandra cried out in worry as she tried her son's phone for the tenth time and he didn't pick. It still hurt that Kyle barely spoke to her since but it was a duty of a mother to worry about a son who still hadn't come back home at 9:pm!

"Screw this." She muttered under her breath. 

She grabbed hold of the car keys on the table and made her exit. Within minutes, she was speeding along the road to the nearest police station.

Malice or not, Kyle was her son and it was still her duty as a mother to worry. She clenched the steering wheel tightly as waves of emotion filled her. She should have seen the whole thing coming but she got sidetracked from the fact that he wasn't born with his abilities. This was a huge gamble that she lost woefully.
